Tornado Hits Hopkinsville Kentucky Manufacturing Plant

CNN is reporting that a tornado has hit a manufacturing plant in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, injuring eight people.  None of these injuries are thought to be life threatening, and the names of those injured are not known yet.  Consider damage to the plant and surrounding business park was also reported.

The Kentucky Division of Emergency Management has issued numerous tornado watches, warnings, and advisories for areas throughout the state:  Kentucky Tornado Alerts.

UPDATE:

Reuters is reporting that the name of the plant hit by the tornado is TG Auto Sealing Kentucky.

Tornado Hits Florida Airport, Trapping 70

Fox News is reporting that a powerful tornado has hit the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Lakeland, Florida trapping as many as 70 people in a collapsed building.

An air show is reported to be in progress when the heavy weather hit the area.  According to their website, the SUN ’n FUN International Fly-In & Expo was scheduled to take place at the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport from March 29 to April 3.

High winds, heavy rain, and extreme weather has been reported throughout the Tampa Bay and central Florida area in recent days.
