Emergency Preparedness Guidelines And Disaster Management Assistance At Fema.Gov


Fema.gov or the Federal Emergency Management Agency offers assistance to people who have gone through natural disasters such as Flood, fire and hurricane. They also offer assistance when your state or county declared an emergency.

Fema.gov has been able to accommodate the victims of natural disasters like giving houses or loans for the people who are affected. If you have gone through a natural disaster and wants assistance from FEMA, what you need to do is to know these steps and follow it:

  1. You must be eligible for assistance, check Fema.gov if your county or state in under state of emergency and if it is, you are definitely eligible to apply for assistance from FEMA.
  2. Your bank account and routing number are needed when you apply for assistance because this is where normally fema.gov will send money to assist you with your needs. Information regarding your insurance and income are also information that will be needed to be able to apply for assistance. You can apply online or thru phone.
  3. If you have passed your application to fema.org, you can check the status of your application within 24 hours. If there is no way for you to check your application status online, you can call them.
  4. You could also apply assistance in person by locating the nearest Disaster Recovery Center.

●        Go to their website and click the page “Jobs” and this will redirect you to a link about FEMA jobs.

●        Go to the opportunities page and narrow down your location and if you are looking for a part-time or full-time job. Once all these information is typed, job listing will then appear that are available in your location.

●        Once the job listings are listed, select one that fits your criteria. Read the job qualifications and instructions for applications.

●        A form can be downloaded that you can fill in with the use of your computer.

●        Various criteria and your job qualifications will score you a Government job if you are fit and have the right knowledge for the desired position.

●        Submit the OF 612 form and send it via e-mail, mail or fax.

●        Be ready for additional information FEMA will require you.
